Thank you for taking the time to learn about the Scots Kirk in Paris.
We are a  community of everyday people from all walks of life, in a place where you’ll find the grace, mercy, and forgiveness Jesus gives to everyone.
Whether it’s your first time at church or you have been going to church for years, our Sunday gatherings are a welcoming place for you to  worship God with others.
Community makes life better and reminds us that we cannot do life alone.
This site gives a glimpse of who we are, but only a glimpse.
To fully understand us, come to a worship service and enjoy the personal fellowship that comes when people share time together with the Holy Spirit present.
Enjoy the website, then come. We’d love to meet you and get to know you.

The Scots Kirk Paris was officially "preached into vacancy" by our Interim Moderator, Rev. Laurence Twaddle, minister of the Church of Scotland in Geneva, on Sunday 28th February. Services will be continuing at the SKP as usual during the vacancy period thanks to Laurence who has been working hard to arrange an illustrious line-up of locums.   Click here for up-to-date information on who will be preaching in any given month.
This is a challenging but exciting time for us as we look forward to welcoming new faces and enjoying different styles of worship.

Our locum for May is Canon John Lindsay, a retired Scottish Episcopal minister. John is originally from Glasgow but trained and worked mostly on the east coast of Scotland, initially in hospital administration and since 1982 as a priest in the Scottish Episcopal Church.  As well as enjoying parish work he engaged in various aspects of ecumenism locally, nationally and internationally.  He was made a Canon in 2000.  Since retiring six years ago he has undertaken cover in his local Episcopal church as well as chaplaincies in Cologne (CofE) and Lausanne (CofS).  His wife Jacqui is the pastoral assistant in Morningside Parish Church (Edinburgh) and also works privately as a counsellor and supervisor.  John enjoys singing, reading, socialising and cooking.
John can be contacted for pastoral matters at scotskirkparis@orange.fr or on 01 48 78 47 94.

PLEASE REMEMBER TO ADD YOUR NAME TO THE SHEET AT THE DOOR BEFORE YOU LEAVE THE CHURCH
WE ALSO ASK THAT YOU LEAVE YOUR CONTACT DETAILS IF YOU ARE A VISITOR OR A NEWCOMER TO THE SKP
THANK YOU
